Les Miles is a “Damn Strong” Football Coach

We are two games into the 2009 season and Les Miles is showing his competence as the head coach of one of the nation’s premier football programs. Here are a few of my observations:

1. Coach Miles is a man of integrity which manifests itself as LSU remains free of the scandalous bad press that plagues many other programs.  LSU fans have seen Les Miles deal with issues within the program disceetly and decisively, never putting “the game” above the integrity of the program.
2. Coach Miles is widely regarded as one of college football’s best recruiters.  LSU continues to reload its program with talent each year as the NFL drafts the Tigers.  In fact, due to personalities within Coach Miles’ staff LSU recruits from coast to coast, bringing talent to the bayou from all across America.
3. Coach Miles wins the big games.
4. Coach Miles wins most games.
5. Coach Miles doesn’t let the Tigers overlook or underestimate weaker opponents.
6. Coach Miles is a “players coach.”  LSU’s football players are often speaking highly of Coach Miles’ impact on their lives.
7. Coach Miles is a “CEO coach.”  He manages a nationally respected program with incredible skill.  His abilities have created a work environment at LSU that is the envy of young coaching talent — people want to work for Coach Miles.  Furthermore, his gravitas is respected in the media and his ability to talk to the press represents the LSU program well.
8. Coach Miles is a “fans coach.”  He tweets!
9. Coach Miles is a family man, a good husband and father.
10. Coach Miles is an LSU fan supporting the other athletic programs of the university.
